Tuesday was a fantastic end to a long, hard, and rewarding campaign. It was YOU who gave us such a resounding victory and Mary Beth and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. In case you missed the numbers, we won big: 58% - 42%...a 16-point margin! While winning is very rewarding, the best part of this victory is the clear message that you helped send that we will not stand up for the politics of personal destruction. All future political machines that participate in dirty, vile, and deceitful politics will NOT win races in Loudoun County! That is the best victory of all!

I would like to thank the countless volunteers who spent thousands of hours to make all this possible. You helped knock on doors, stuff letters, and make phone calls. You put signs in your yards and bumper stickers on your cars. You staffed back-to-school nights, worked the polls, and sent emails to friends to spread the word about our campaign. You did the hard work needed to win this race...this is YOUR victory! And I thank you!

Delegate Poisson sent me a gracious note of congratulations on Tuesday evening and I would like to thank him for his service to our District and to the Commonwealth. I am humbled to take his place in the Virginia House of Delegates which has been meeting since 1619. There is much to be done. I am transitioning quickly to focus on my legislative agenda which will include the economy, jobs, traffic, and education. Your input is more valuable now than ever.

Lastly, I would like to thank Mary Beth and our children for putting up with the long days, weeks, and months. I could not have done this without their unending support and love. Thank you...and please come visit me in Richmond. My door is always open!
